• Assists the Division in communicating Division industrial future research programs to industry and government and to other academic institutions.
• Offers guidance focused on PET students sponsorship and on-the-job training (Internship).
• Offers guidance focused on the recruitment and placement of Division graduates.
• Ensures awareness of Division and student needs within the professional community, and encourages broad-based industry, government, and individual participation in satisfying those needs.

Rock Flow Dynamics (RFD) develops software for the petroleum industry. It offers a wide range of advanced innovative tools for reservoir engineering implemented in tNavigator – the dynamic reservoir simulator developed by the company. RFD is expanding quickly to keep up with a fast growing Oil & Gas service industry.
Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is the largest international organization serving the oil and gas industry in the upstream segment by collecting, disseminating, and exchanging technical knowledge concerning the exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources, and related technologies for the public benefit; and to provide opportunities for professionals to enhance their technical and professional competence.
The main goal is to connect university students with the upstream of the oil and gas industry by involving them in different events such as industrial visits, exhibitions and newsletters etc.
Our Chapter took place on February 2015 and it was involved in a number of activities of this kind such as in ADIPEC at Abu Dhabi, November 2015-1017. Members of our Chapter attended the SPE competition for UAE universities at ADIPEC and won 3rd place. Our students were involved in a panel session at ADIPEC Nov. 2015 as speakers to show their results about their research in the oil industry challenges.
The greatest achievement for our chapter was qualification to the final stage of PetroBowl Championship which took place in Dallas, US. At that level our students were competing with the best universities from different continents and gained a lot of experience and life-long memories.
