ADPoly Student Represents Innovation at ADIPEC 2024

Abu Dhabi Polytechnic took pride in its participation at the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC), held from November 4–7, 2024. Highlighting ADPoly’s commitment to innovation and sustainability, PET-CHET student Ms. Shamma Al Shamsi presented her research on BioClean-Surf, a new biodegradable surfactant for oil spill cleanup.

Ms. Al Shamsi’s presentation during the Technical Conference showcased how BioClean-Surf aligns with the UAE’s Vision 2030 framework, emphasizing sustainable practices and environmental protection. She discussed the importance of addressing the environmental impact of oil spills, particularly given the UAE’s geographical location and its role as a major petroleum producer.

ADPoly’s participation in ADIPEC reflects its dedication to fostering research and development while equipping its students with the skills and knowledge needed to contribute to the UAE’s technological and environmental progress.
