ADPoly Information Security Students Achieve Top Rankings at GDRFAD Capture the Flag Competition

Around 70 students from Abu Dhabi Polytechnic visited GITEX Global 2024 from October 14th to 18th, 2024, one of the most prominent global tech exhibitions. They attended the exhibition to explore the latest innovations in technology, gain insights into emerging trends, and interact with industry professionals.

While 7 students participated in the Capture the Flag (CTF), organized by the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs-Dubai (GDRFA), as part of the GITEX Global 2024 event. The competition, titled “ctf.ae,” allowed students to showcase their skills in cybersecurity. ADPoly’s students excelled in the competition, securing top positions on the leaderboard. Notably, Mohamed Alzaabi A00057153 achieved 1st place under the alias ‘Casper.

The visit to GITEX Global 2024 was a highly beneficial experience for ADPoly students, offering them valuable exposure to cutting-edge technologies, networking opportunities, and a broader understanding of the tech industry’s future direction. This experience will contribute to their academic growth and professional aspirations in the field of technology.
