Description
This course covers an advanced level of gas turbine engine construction and engine systems layout. It includes principles of operation, engine construction, systems, and accessory parts such as engine fuel metering and distribution, FADEC, HMU, and EEC effects on performance and fuel consumption. The course also covers lubrication and oil cooling systems, typical engine installation and mounting, standard safety procedures, monitoring programs, engine ground operation dangers, thrust augmentation systems, CSD, gearbox systems, fire detection systems, and engine installation.
