Smart Manufacturing Engineering Technology

This major is offered for students who seek to contribute at the interface between manufacturing, electrical, mechanical, and AI areas in primarily industrial environments.

You will address what is needed to move product concepts into efficient, automated production. The curriculum focuses on the entire design and manufacturing process; you’ll understand how each team member benefits the system.

Students will be trained in manufacturing processes, manufacturing systems, systems engineering, IT, AI programming and basic shop floor communications. Experiential learning approach will be followed and students will be gaining hands-on experience in many spheres of technology related to smart manufacturing.
