Prof. Anthony Hechanova

Dr. Anthony Hechanova is the ADPoly Deputy Director for Academics and a professor in the Electromechanical Engineering Technology Department. He joined ADPoly in 2010 to develop and implement the nuclear technology education and training program to supply the domestic technical nuclear workforce in the UAE. Before joining ADPoly in 2010, he was the Associate Executive Director for Sustainable and Clean Energy Programs at the Harry Reid Center for Environmental Studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (USA) where he managed the university’s nuclear research programs from 1999 to 2010. Professor Anthony’s areas of research interest and activity are Thermal-hydraulics of Advanced Power Systems, Risk Assessment from Radioactivity in the Environment, Energy Policy and Profiles, and Nuclear Risk Perception.
