Description
This course provides the students with the necessary knowledge and skills needed to deal with number- base conversion, Boolean algebra & basic logic gates, gate-level minimization using Boolean algebra, and gate-level minimization using map methods & other techniques. It also provides the basic knowledge about the digital circuits design procedure, the basic combinational logic circuits (half-adder, full-adder, binary adder-subtractor, decimal adder, binary multiplier, magnitude comparator, decoders, encoders, and multiplexers), and the basic sequential circuits (latches, flip-flops, and clocked sequential circuits). Lecture 2 hrs/wk, Lab 2 hrs/wk.
