Description
This course has been designed to give students a practical knowledge and understanding of a range of electrical machines and their applications. In particular, students will study and analyze different types of DC motors, single phase motors, three phase motors, synchronous generators and motors, and different types of transformers.in addition to, hands-on skills on some electrical machines application which include, but not limited to, petrol generators, washing machines and dryers. The Course acts as a good practical training for more in depth studies in specialist areas of electrical motors and transformers. Lab 2 hrs/wk.
