Dr. Dani Abdo

Dr. Dani joined the Electro-Mechanical Systems Engineering Technology of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic in May 2021. He is conducting research studies in polymer and composite materials. By means of applying a variety of experimental approaches, his research focuses on studying the effect of strain-rate and cyclic testing on the mechanics and performance of different polymers and fibre-reinforced-composites. Moreover, Dr. Dani is engaged in the study and analysis of dynamics, damage, and microstructure of these materials, by applying Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), and X-ray Computed Tomography (X-ray CT). His publications and conferences are all related to this field of study.

Dr. Dani has more than 12 years of professional experience in development and design of Injection- moulded and thermoformed products for the automotive and medical industry. His expertise covers, prototyping, manufacturing feasibility, tooling, and project management of entire projects.
