Dr. Victor Goman

Dr. Goman started his career in 2003 as a lecturer on the Electrical Engineering program. From 2011 he started teaching in the field of Mechatronics as an associate professor. In 2022 he joined the ADPoly EMET team.

Dr. Goman’s main teaching areas are Mechatronics and Industrial Automation. He has a strong background in PLC and SCADA programming, in Energy Saving consulting and in MATLAB&Simulink modelling. Students trained by Dr. Goman have won Silver and Bronze medals in the Russia National Worldskills Championship (mechatronics section) several times. He has several professional certificates from Eplan and Siemens (Drives, PLCs, Industrial networks).

Dr. Goman’s research interests focus on energy saving potentials in electromechanical systems. He published 25 refereed research articles, including 8 articles in international journals, three of them were published in the first quartile journals. Dr. Goman served as the co-chair of the International Conference on the Industrial Manufacturing and Metallurgy (Nizhniy Tagil, Russia) and as the editor-in-chief of the conference proceedings in 2020 and 2021. He was the principal researcher or project manager in several research and grant projects. Also, he is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
