Description
This course is an introduction to the various technical and administrative aspects of perimeter protection. This course provides the foundation for understanding the key issues associated with modern networks and protection of the perimeter using various technologies including Firewalls, Routers, proxies, application firewalls, virtual private networks, network address translation (NAT), deep packet inspection, IPS, IDS, and Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliances. Lecture: 2 hrs/day; Lab: 3 hrs/day.
