This course covers introduction to synoptic meteorology, fronts and jets, precipitation systems in the midlatitudes, instability, cyclogenesis and anticyclogenesis, the classical midlatitude cyclone. Lecture: 3 hrs, Tutorial: 1 hrs, Lab: 0 hrs.
