This course covers main characteristics of tropical regions, general circulation, seasonal mean wind fields, local and diurnal circulations, zonally asymmetric features of tropics, tropical weather systems, the tropical oceans, tropical cyclones, monsoons. Lecture: 3 hrs, Tutorial: 1 hr, Lab: 0 hrs.
