Description
This course covers the atmospheric boundary layer, basic equations for mean and fluctuating quantities, scaling laws for mean and turbulent quantities, surface roughness and local advection, energy fluxes at the land surface, the thermally stratified boundary layer, and the cloud-topped boundary layer. Lecture: 3 hrs, Tutorial: 1 hr, Lab: 0 hrs.
