This course covers analysis of midlatitude systems using the balance equation, quasi-geostrophic theory, the formation and movement of surface pressure systems, the formation and movement of upper level systems and isentropic potential vorticity. Lectures: 3 hrs, Tutorial: 1 hrs, Lab: 0 hrs.
