MET-4066: Marine Meteorology

Description
This course covers introduction to marine meteorology, observations and instruments, ocean water motions, sea and swell waves, avoidance of tropical storms, weather forecasts for seafarer, ocean surface currents, sea ice, weather routing, meteorological factors of planning an ocean passage, problems associated with route ships and oil tankers. Lecture: 3 hrs, Tutorial: 0 hrs, Lab: 0 hrs.
