Description
In this course basic concepts and definitions of thermodynamics, properties of pure substances, the first law of thermodynamics for the closed and open systems, the second law of thermodynamics, Entropy analysis and thermodynamics cycles (Carnot cycle) are introduced. Lecture 2 hours/week, 2 Tutorial, 2 hours lab/week. Pre-requisites: MATH1010, PHYS1011, and CHEM1013.
