Description The course presents a review of well completion and workover techniques. The objectives and optimum solutions of well completions for different field conditions are discussed including technical and economic considerations. The design of the tubing string and the most important downhole equipment of any hydrocarbon well are discussed. The ways of opening the formation for production and the different types of perforating oil and gas wells are studied. Workover procedures including remedial cementing and well stimulation methods are covered along with the required design procedures. Lecture 3 hrs/wk.
