Placement Exams and Conditional Admission:
Students who do not meet the admission criteria of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic for Applied Bachelor can sit for Placement exams in Math and one of the science topics (Physics, Chemistry or ICT) prior to granting conditional admission to Abu Dhabi Polytechnic.
- The passing score of the placement exams is 700.
- Students who pass the placement exam have to join the preparatory program (take zero-credit courses)
Preparatory Program:
Candidates who are given a conditional admission (after passing the needed placement exams), will be able to enroll in the preparatory program at the beginning of semester 1 or semester 2 in each academic year. It is a full-time program, which consists of 4 courses (MATH, PHYSICS, CHEMISTRY and ICT) that are given to the students as separate courses throughout the corresponding semester. The courses are zero credit and have the following codes in the banner system Of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic:

Admission Criteria
o All new student should apply through NAPO first
o After receiving the initial acceptance from NAPO, students should apply for ADPoly using the following link: https://www.iat.ac.ae/sis/adpoly/admission/Application
o Age shouldn’t exceed 24 years old at the time of the application.
o All applicants must pass the admission interview.
o All transfer students should apply through the following link directly without applying to NAPO: https://www.iat.ac.ae/sis/adpoly/admission/Application
o Students exceeding 24 years need special acceptance from the Director
o Readmission can be considered for students who have withdrawn only but students who have been dropped for academic reasons are not eligible for the readmission.
