Dr. Sheharyar Malik completed his PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Politecnico di Milano (POLIMI), Italy. During the PhD, he has worked on improving the performance of high performance and regional aircrafts by advance aeroelastic analysis and using the state-of-the-art actuator/sensor mechanism to alleviate the dynamic loads on the aircraft. The research has contributed in improving the performance of the aircraft and reducing the repair/maintenance costs. Dr. Sheharyar Malik, has also served as a research student in Aircraft division at LEONARDO, Italy. After the PhD, Dr. Malik worked as a Postdoc researcher in Department of Aerospace Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, the research was sponsored by Federal Aviation Agency (US). Before his PhD, Dr. Malik worked as a Lecturer and Lab Engineer in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Institute of Space Technology and HITEC University, respectively. His significant accomplishments include receiving a Postdoc grant from Poiltecnico di Milano/FAA and PhD grant from the TIVANO project (European Union), MSc scholarship from the HEC, Pakistan. Dr. Malik has published several refereed articles in scientific journals and conference proceedings.

Dr. Sheharyar Malik is teaching courses of Aeromechanics related to Part-66 and applied bachelors. He is supervising graduation projects at bachelors and Masters level and also supervising Abu Dhabi Government funded project ASPIRE.
