Wilson M. Ordonez is an Aeromechanical Lab Engineer at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic – Al Ain Campus with almost twenty years of experience in the aviation industry, guiding local Emirati students on their careers to be successful engineers in the field of Aircraft Maintenance.
Prior to joining Al Ain International Aviation Academy (AAIAA) now Abu Dhabi Polytechnic-Al Ain as a Laboratory Specialist, Theoretical and Practical Assessor for EASA/GCAA Part 147, Wilson was a responsible Team Leader and Aircraft Engineer at Etihad Airways in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Holder of an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic License in his native land started his career as a trainee in different kinds of mid-size and wide-body aircraft in the aviation field. He has represented Team U.A.E. as an Aircraft Maintenance Skills Expert and Workshop Manager in the WorldSkills Competitions and has been actively performing the duties and responsibilities of Chief Expert/Expert Judge in the Emirates Skills National Completion.
Wilson earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Aircraft Technology from PATTS College of Aeronautics in 1997.
