The Aviation Maintenance/Engineering program at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic is designed to develop highly skilled aviation professionals. Located at the Al Ain Campus, this program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines general education coursework with specialized technical training in Structures (airframe), Propulsion (power plant), and Avionics (Aviation Electronics) maintenance and engineering. The approved training program adheres to the GCAA and EASA CAR/Part 66 curriculum and is managed by the approved MTO. The training covers CAR/Part 66:
This qualification is a basic category qualification for a Maintenance Certifying Mechanics. Students are trained on basic line and weekly checks and later obtain and hold company certification/authorization for specific non-essential engineering tasks.
This qualification leads to a Maintenance Certifying Technician (Mechanical) qualification with a B1 category License. Additional Type Rated Training (i.e. Line & Base Maintenance per ATA 104 Level III) and with Company Certification Authorization, permits the license holder to issue certificates of release to service (CRS) following maintenance on mechanical and minor avionics and electrical systems.
This qualification leads to a Maintenance Certifying Technician (Avionic) qualification with a B2 aircraft maintenance license. Additional Type Rated Training (i.e. Line & Base Maintenance per ATA 104 Level III) and Company Certification Authorization, permits the license holder to issue certificates of release to service (CRS) following maintenance on avionic and electrical systems.
