Abu Dhabi Polytechnic’s Al Ain campus (ADP-AA) is home to a Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) approved by both the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) under CAR/Part 147 regulations. The MTO received EASA approval in 2009 and GCAA approval in 2010, demonstrating its commitment to international and national aviation standards.
The MTO offers programs that qualify individuals as aircraft mechanics, technicians, and engineers, while also opening pathways for continuous education both within ADP-AA and beyond. These nationally and internationally recognized qualifications are aligned with the CAR/Part 66 regulatory framework, which defines the standards required for aircraft engineers responsible for maintaining airworthiness in civil aviation.
Obtaining the right qualifications and training is essential for unlocking diverse career opportunities in the aviation industry. Graduates can pursue careers with airlines, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance and repair organizations, private jet operators, corporate flight departments, and government agencies-sectors where skilled aircraft maintenance professionals are consistently in high demand.
The MTO training is the core of Abu Dhabi Polytechnic’s academic degrees in Aviation Maintenance and Engineering programs; this includes Aircraft Engineering Technology and Aircraft Maintenance Technology. These programs equip graduates with the technical knowledge and practical skills needed to access a wide range of aviation careers. Behind every flight - whether commercial, private, or military - is the expertise of highly trained aviation maintenance and engineering professionals.
Through a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience, ADP-AA develops the next generation of aviation experts, preparing them to excel in a dynamic and evolving industry.
