Work towards certification starts at the beginning of Basic Training. It is recommended students begin their certification process as they progress through the program. The process is in three main parts:
Completing the required hours of knowledge and skill studying and training (on campus practical skills).
Completing all module examinations with a passing mark at an approved MTO.
Completing the required work experience at a partner CAR/Part 145 MRO.
Once all the above is completed, one to two years of experience is required of the candidate to be able to apply for the license and become a certified Aircraft Engineer.
