Abu Dhabi Polytechnic’s Al Ain campus (ADP-AA) houses the approved Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) approved by the General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) and European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) under regulations CAR/Part 147, respectively. The MTO received its approval from EASA in 2009 and from the GCAA in 2010. The MTO’s programs provide individuals with qualifications as aircraft mechanic/technician/engineer and leading for continuous education opportunities within and outside of ADP-AA. These national and internationally recognized qualifications are based on an aviation curriculum outlined in CAR/Part 66 of the authority’s regulation. This qualification is required of all aircraft engineers working in civil aviation preparing and ensuring airworthiness of aircraft. Having the right qualifications and education is crucial for unlocking opportunities in the aviation industry. Whether it’s with airlines, aircraft manufacturers, major repair stations, private jet services, corporate flight departments, or government agencies, skilled aircraft maintenance specialists are in high demand.
