Dr. Yaser Kamal Hassan Omar

Dr. Yaser is a multi-disciplined aeronautical/mechanical engineer with a combination of academic coursework and industrial experience in the aviation business as a licensed aircraft maintenance engineer (B1.3), with expertise in aerospace R&D and MRO of helicopter maintenance.

Industrial experience: He was trained for aircraft maintenance in well-known and GCAA-authorized 147 training organizations such as Bell Helicopter (Texas/USA), Airbus Helicopter (Donauworth/Germany), and Pratt & Whitney turbo-shaft engines (Montreal/Canada). For 26 years, his maintenance license (airframe, engine, and unit overhaul) of ECAA (Egyptian Civil Aviation Authority), is type rated with 5 helicopters including aircraft types, (Bell 412- Bell 212 – Bell 206L3 – Bell 206B3 – Airbus EC135)

Academic Teaching Experience: he taught and supervised as a visiting senior lecturer at aviation and aerospace engineering depts. for both undergraduate and postgraduate students at many engineering institutes in Egypt, with major subjects: “Flight Principles, Aerodynamics, Helicopter Flight Theory, Helicopter Aerodynamics, Wind Turbine Aerodynamics, Aircraft Systems, Aircraft and Engine Maintenance, Aviation Inventory and Logistics, Human Factors and SMS, Technical Writing, Presentation Skills, and Analytical Thinking”.
