Program Objectives

Educational Objectives

  • Provide balanced academic and work-based learning to equip graduates with the knowledge and practical skills necessary for proficient aircraft maintenance technologist and engineers.
  • Provide graduates with the scientific and engineering fundamentals required to solve engineering problems associated with the lifecycle of aircraft systems and also to pursue higher studies.
  • Enable graduates to adhere to the highest level of professionalism, ethical standards, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, multidisciplinary approach and environmental awareness.
  • Provide students with recognition and the ability to engage in life-long learning and the education necessary to comprehend the impact of the aircraft engineering and maintenance in a global and societal context.
  • Provide students with leadership opportunities through the on-job-training along with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue technical and professional careers in the Aviation industry.

Learning Objectives

  • PLO1: An ability to apply knowledge, techniques, skills and modern tools of mathematics, science, engineering, and technology to solve broadly defined aircrfat engineering technology problems appropriate to the discipline.
  • PLO 2: An ability to design systems, components, or processes meeting specified needs for broadly defined aircrfat engineering technology problems appropriate to the discipline.
  • PLO 3: An ability to apply written, oral, and graphical communication in broadly defined technical and non-technical environments; and an ability to identify and use appropriate technical literature.
  • PLO4: Conduct standard tests and measurements to analyze, and interpret experiments and to apply experimental results to improve processes.
  • PLO5: Perform maintenance, repair, overhaul and modification procedures on aircraft systems and components to maintain aircraft safety and airworthiness.
  • PLO6: Function effectively as an individual, and as a member or leader in diverse teams considering ethical standads, and in multidisciplinary settings and work in accordance with Aircraft Maintenance Manuals, Service Bulletins, Industry Standards, EASA and GCAA Regulations.
  • PLO7: An ability to apply innovation and entrepreneurship skills to broadly defined aircrfat engineering technology applications.
