Abu Dhabi Polytechnic (ADPoly) Al Ain Campus is an entity within the renowned Institute of Applied Technology. Al Ain campus is the aviation center of ADPoly with a mission to drive forward the Emiratization of aviation careers by providing training opportunities for young UAE nationals to become qualified in the field of aircraft maintenance and engineering technologies. ADPoly Aviation strives to be the leading specialized aviation educational establishment in the Middle East.Education at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic integrates classroom studies and hands-on training.
The intention of this type of education is to develop needed skills through balanced delivery of academics, hands-on practices, and on-the- job training activities. The balanced delivery of an ADPoly education prepares students for solid careers with life-long learning possibilities. ADPoly students earn accredited academic qualification (Higher Diploma of higher) and industry required and accepted qualification (licenses) in their aviation specialty areas. Graduates of the aviation programs with a desire to pursue further education can do so at Abu Dhabi Polytechnic or at any institution offering advanced degrees in related aviation technologies.
This qualification is a basic category qualification for a Maintenance Certifying Mechanics. Students are trained on basic line and weekly checks and later obtain and hold company certification/authorization for specific non-essential engineering tasks.
This qualification leads to a Maintenance Certifying Technician (Mechanical) qualification with a B1 category License. Additional Type Rated Training (i.e. Line & Base Maintenance per ATA 104 Level III) and with Company Certification Authorization, permits the license holder to issue certificates of release to service (CRS) following maintenance on mechanical and minor avionics and electrical systems.
This qualification leads to a Maintenance Certifying Technician (Avionic) qualification with a B2 aircraft maintenance license. Additional Type Rated Training (i.e. Line & Base Maintenance per ATA 104 Level III) and Company Certification Authorization, permits the license holder to issue certificates of release to service (CRS) following maintenance on avionic and electrical systems.
